Intro
As this unit is almost over I am now having to create ideas for my final piece for this subject. It will have to feature the thing I believe to be the most important to motion.
For this blog entry I shall be investigating about the various ways I could produce a final piece for long exposure.
Why do long exposure photography? Surely theres something better that relates to "movement".
I believe that Long Exposure fits into "Movement" rather well as its capturing motion for a prolonged exposure compared to other works e.g. High speed water droplet photography & bubble photography.
In Preparation for AO4 I went out on a light painting Shoot out at burbage.
Here are some the photos:

The Idea
So my main idea for this subject of work is to create a book. Allowing me to show my work at a high resolution. The other benefit to having a book is I should be able to write about the photos in the same depth as I am currently doing so for this website.
After searching for places to make this idea become a reality I have narrowed my search down to two potential places.
Firstly being the photo-sharing site Flickr. It has a online store where you can produce a high quality book for a relatively cheap price, it appears to be an ideal choice.
Heres what the book would look like:

The Front Cover

A page example
This book clearly shows a high level of quality. However, you are not allowed to add text abilities for the pages. not allowing me to annotate my work is a massive let down so I shall have to say no making my book with Flickr.
So my alternative is to make a book with Apple. There photo editing software "Aperture" allows users not only to touch up their work but also allows to create books! The book / image quality is still as high as Flickr. Unfortunately cost of producing it is far more compared to its competitor. However, unlike Flickr it allows users full control to customise and edit books. This means I shall be able to annotate my photos with ease.
Heres what a page from this book could look like:

Conclusion
I am far happier with the outcome of this piece compared to the one I made on Flickr. Having the freedom to annotate my work on the Apple book is a no brainer. I shall definitely keep this in mind for AO4.
